Taker 04:01
Do you wake up in the morning, then reach into a hat and draw a name Blind to how you're oh so wrong, you choose somebody else to take the blame You can paint a stunning picture, but damn you don't know where to draw the line Reality's the adversary, in your bitter war against the man But that man is the father of your son, a boy who's trapped in no man's land I won't reinforce your front again, it's time to step aside You fake a perfect life in filtered photos that I see through You never think about the others or consider what they need, too You'd even die at my funeral to make it about you You're a taker, so now I'm a leaver, believe me The gaslight's burning out and now the flair is gone, and packed under your bed While the movie that you're starring in plays on an endless loop inside your head And the show it will go on after a costume change You fake a perfect life in filtered photos that I see through You never think about the others or consider what they need, too You'd even die at my funeral to make it about you You're a taker, so now I'm a leaver, believe me You fake a perfect life in filtered photos that I see through You never think about the others or consider what they need, too You'd even die at my funeral to make it about you And you've taken all that I had. So I'm leaving.

Harmony 03:20
It had been a long year since my love left So I took a ride down where the love is sold Found a young lady standing out under the bridge Looking every bit of 25 years old I rolled down the window and I asked her name "Harmony" she said as she climbed inside She must've known that it was my first time She told me "Just relax, I'm qualified" Money can't fill the emptiness And money can't buy you love But it can fund a hell of a distraction "If you've got a little to dispose of" So I got us a room at a motor inn It was small but clean which is all you need She laid out her things on the bedside table Her phone, some keys, and a bag of weed As she closed her purse I caught a glimpse inside Told myself there’s no way that I had seen That card with a picture of her smiling wide IT was her school ID she was about sixteen Money can't fill the emptiness And money can't buy you love But it can fund a hell of a distraction "If you've got a little to dispose of" Before I spoke she tried to unzip her dress Her fingers began to tremble The door caved open and a man crashed in That Harmony seemed to resemble She screamed “daddy” as he came at me And threw me on the faux-fur rug A night of distraction left a hole in my heart The size of a 12-gauge slug Money didn’t fill the emptiness And it never did buy me love "But it left my father with blood on his hands" And a secret to dispose of

Running Over 04:14
My time was running over and this world didn't want me anymore At least I didn't fade, the lights were out before my body hit the floor I believed the story that my simple life would flash before my eyes But there is nothing here but cold and dark and silence much to my surprise And I leave behind nothing that will matter And you will not find a trace of my disaster

about

Following the February 2018 release of “Passerby” – the self-released EP by his band Art Of The Possible, Fowlie has teamed up with Stephen Lewis and Jay Merrill at Fredericton’s Marshall Studios to deliver 3 songs with rich and diverse arrangements that go far beyond the stripped down acoustic sound found in his previous solo recordings.

“Harmony” is the first in a series of 3 EP releases that will build into a full 11-track album slated for early 2019. Along with his frequent co-conspirators James Rooney (drums) and Jarret Meadows (bass) Colin is
joined by a guest musician on each track including Piotr Wojtowicz (piano), Michelle Morrison (vocals),and Emilio Bonnell (guitar).
